I've seen this all over LJ, through some communities and the like.

SO.

I've got 788 songs in my iTunes.

What you'll do is you'll come over here, pick a number 1 - 788, gimme a prompt (if you want something specific and the like!) and a pairing, and I'll try to write you a little something.  If I can't swing it, I will let you know and let you pick something else.

Sound good?

Good.

Now GO! :-D

400 - Cuz You're Gone, Goo Goo Dolls

I wanna give in so bad, but I don't know how

The thing is, Bob doesn't want to be tempted by Nate. But Nate's that guy. That guy everyone knows, because he's Nate and that's pretty much what he does.

Nate also is pretty blunt when it comes to things like that.

"We should hang out," Nate says, meaning really, 'I'm going to pounce you and blow you into incoherence,', because Nate might be blunt, but sometimes Bob forgets to listen.

So he's not hearing the subtext, and goes to Nate's place. He knows that it's just Nate, the problems from a marriage that's strained spilling over into most conversations. Bob's not the type of guy to let it get away, but he also knows that Nate's probably been grilled by the tag-team of Bridget and Dave.

And let's face it, that scares Bob more than impending fatherhood.

So he's not expecting the way Nate just swings his legs over Bob's thighs, straddling him and looking at him with eyes just closed off enough. Nate's open and eager for everything, and to see him closed off makes Bob two parts nervous and one part upset.

"Um?"

"Just...can I?" Nate asks, looking young and scared but calm. Bob doesn't know how to respond, doesn't know how to do this, or even the first step to going along with it.

Nate takes care of that for him, gently pressing their lips together. He's careful and easy and it's actually not so bad to relax and kiss him. There's actually a thrill in it; a thrill to pushing his hands against the soft bare skin of Nate's back, and knowing the tattooed skin there.

They kiss for what seems to be forever. Bob feels his lips, feels the way that they're just sore enough to tingle, and the way that his chest is rising and falling rapidly.

Okay, and so yeah, Bob's pretty well acquainted with lust, and desire, but it's never been this comfortable.

"I...I don't know how..." he says, trailing off after a minute, Nate's eyes hooded and a smile on his face just enough to take the quick sorrow out of his eyes.

"I'll show you," Nate murmurs against his lips, rolling his hips and Bob gets it.

But he can play dumb for a little while longer.

42 - Whole Lot Of Leaving - Bon Jovi

I walk the line you'll never hear me sayin' goodbye

"Play me somethin'," she says, the velvety night air disturbing the haze of smoke around them. It makes it look like winter, their breath fogging as they exhale with each hit.

But instead it's summer. Hot and muggy, the air so thick that it feels like cloth on naked skin.

"Like what?" comes that voice. It's familiar, it's comfortable, and across the way, she can see Pigpen with his boys. All of them together on this fucking train, it'd been one of those experiences. Someone always had drugs, always had a tune, always had some life to offer.

"Dunno. Anything," she says, the full moon doesn't hang high or low. It's just there and she knows the feeling. Jimi gives that low laugh and starts playing some old number that she remembers the melody to vaguely.

The moonlight (pewter, not silver, like some people claim) glints off Jimi's guitar, the sound cutting through the muggy night air.

It's a moment in time, a moment she'll always remember. Him lazily strumming and picking over the notes like he's got all the time in the world. She finds the words and does what she loves best.

She tilts her head back and sings.

It's got a real nice flavour. Very evocative of the era, I think. It's a good piece of writing and you should be pleased with it. :)
