I've seen this all over LJ, through some communities and the like.
SO.
I've got 788 songs in my iTunes.
What you'll do is you'll come over here, pick a number 1 - 788, gimme a prompt (if you want something specific and the like!) and a pairing, and I'll try to write you a little something. If I can't swing it, I will let you know and let you pick something else.

"Play me somethin'," she says, the velvety night air disturbing the haze of smoke around them. It makes it look like winter, their breath fogging as they exhale with each hit.
But instead it's summer. Hot and muggy, the air so thick that it feels like cloth on naked skin.
"Like what?" comes that voice. It's familiar, it's comfortable, and across the way, she can see Pigpen with his boys. All of them together on this fucking train, it'd been one of those experiences. Someone always had drugs, always had a tune, always had some life to offer.
"Dunno. Anything," she says, the full moon doesn't hang high or low. It's just there and she knows the feeling. Jimi gives that low laugh and starts playing some old number that she remembers the melody to vaguely.
The moonlight (pewter, not silver, like some people claim) glints off Jimi's guitar, the sound cutting through the muggy night air.
It's a moment in time, a moment she'll always remember. Him lazily strumming and picking over the notes like he's got all the time in the world. She finds the words and does what she loves best.
She tilts her head back and sings.
