After, Selena floated, confident that Mike's strong hands around her belly would hold her steady. She was barely aware of Kevin and David moving around, their soft touches, warm like water, as they cleaned her up and tucked her in on her side.
She rolled into the safety of David's arms, smiling as he kissed her forehead softly. "Hey gorgeous," he whispered, fingers tracing her cheek. "Missed a spot." He kissed her cheek, rough tongue gentle against her skin.
The mattress dipped again, and she knew from touch it was Kevin spooning up behind her. "How are you?" he asked, kissing the sweet spot behind her ear.
She smiled and let herself drift. "Loved," she whispered.
Mike's hand stroked down her hip. "That you are," he confirmed. "Always."
Selena drifted off to sleep, knowing that when she woke, they would still be there with her, holding on tight.
