Hey Monday!!
24 August 2010 23:22![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
So today, I went with Addy up into Charlotte to see Hey Monday, which was AWESOME!
We had a *blast* and even made some new friends. \o/
ETA: THE VIDEOS ARE NOW UPLOADED AND PUT INTO A SEPARATE ENTRY.
Before we left, Addy and I were ridiculous. I was trying to take a picture of her, and she covered her face up and....she looked like one of the weeping angels. THUS. RIDICULOUS:

She complained today that we didn't have that many pictures together, so I made sure we got a bunch together today. <3

So we made the trek over there, which wasn't that bad...just straight up the interstate, one right turn, and then BAM, there we were. I was SUPER pleased by that.
Got there, wandered around, checked things out...got another picture together where I proceeded to marvel over the fact that good christ this kid is tall.

No, seriously, we're standing on the same floor, straight up, etc. I'm 5'9 and a half, round about. Yeaaahhhh.
Let's see...while we were walking around, we noticed some girls taking pictures with the window set up outside and decided to go do the same. We ended up asking those girls to take a picture of the two of us. ♥

And then one of just Addy:

She's so prettyyyyy. <3 <3 <3 <3
And then I decided to be TOTALLY DORKY. I was wearing my Cobra plectrum bracelet for luck...and thus:

FANGS UP, YES.
Then we went back in, and I proceeded to nag her for another picture and this one is probably my favorite picture EVER.

I was laughing and telling her BUT I DO THIS BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, ADDY. I LOFF YOU MOSTEST. And her eyeroll of DOOOOOMMM.
She finally grabbed the camera and said YOU HAD BETTER BE EXCITED:

LOL my dorky face. XD
And then I asked her the same...and this is her "excited" face, but mostly, I call it her new I AM TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH ALEX LIPSHAW, YOU HAVE NO IDEA, face.

Seriously, you guys, we went into this with her being adoring of Jersey and by the time we left, she was like, JERSEY WHO? I NEVER LIKED A JERSEY. ALEEEXXXX.
So by the time Hey Monday came to the stage, we'd made friends with these girls behind us, who were LOVELY. We spent half the time laughing and chatting to them and we ended up waiting in the signing line with them. Since their camera died, I took their pictures with Hey Monday.
I ended up videoing Hey Monday's whole set? Those'll be up here soon, hopefully. If Youtube/Facebook cooperates. Meanwhile, here's some pictures I got in between songs:

That's about how far back we were without my zoom. There weren't A LOT of people there. Maybe 60 of us? Ish.

LOOK AT THAT SMILE, HOLY JESUS, HI THERE, CASSADEE. ♥____♥
So the signing was set up with a table and everything, so it wasn't as awesome as it could have been. But still, very awesome.
While we were waiting, Addy kept freaking out over Alex. Seriously, it was precious.
I managed to get this picture, which she has proclaimed to be the one she's gonna have me blow up etc for her wall. XD XD XD XD XD

What was funny....when I was taking it, he was smiling at some other girl. And when we looked, HOLY SHIT, HE WAS KIND OF LOOKING THIS WAY, OH MAN.
Addy's in luuurrrvveee.
She went up there and Cassadee commented on her Edward shirt and asked if she was Team Jacob or Team Edward and Addy was like, I'm kind of fifty-fifty? And Cassadee was so precious to her, seriously. If Addy had been like...thirty percent less nervous, Addy would have chatted to her.
(My one complaint is that they wouldn't let us go up together...Addy was super nervous and couldn't get herself to say anything and I felt kind of bad for her.)
(Okay, two complaints: The guy who was running it, was like, gimme your camera and I'll take pictures. I told him I didn't quite like giving my camera to people (especially considering this camera was my MOM'S) and he goes, "well, it's either you give me your camera, or you don't get a picture; your choice." Which...y'know, I thought was fairly rude. Maybe it's just me?)
But whatever, she got her picture with her DARLING.

I told her she shoulda scooted in more...and asked Alex for a hug. C'MON, HE WOULDA GIVEN IT TO HER. But bless her, she was so nervous.
So, then it was my turn, right?
I had made some bracelets for them and some earrings for Cassadee (who got excited about them and made sure to let me know she was putting them somewhere safe), which I was kind of feeling dorky about, but whatever. I also had a card for
saxihighlandck for them to sign, 'cause she's not been feeling well! (It ended up being a thank you card, b/c I got it like...RIGHT before she got sick.)
And I wasn't nervous, really, but I felt kind of dumb. But I held them out and all three of them were like OH MAN! I had four with me, just for a little variety, and Alex chose the blue, Cassadee chose the yellow, and Mike went for the green.
What was funny was that Cassadee and Mike had gotten theirs own, Alex was still struggling. So I kind of laughingly asked him if he needed help and he just went YES and flopped his wrist out and handed me the bracelet.
As I was leaning over his wrist, I kind of laughed and said, dude, my kid sister is probably wanting to KILL me right now.
And they laughed and I told them that tomorrow is the start of her school year, so I thought this would be a nice treat for her. They made sure to tell me to tell Addy that they wanted her to have a nice school year and to have fun and thanks for coming. (I could have smooshed them for that...her FACE when I told her that. Oh my god.)
I then pulled out
saxihighlandck's card and told them that she hadn't been feeling well and I was wondering if they'd sign it for her. They DIIIIDDD. They're lovely.
Also, LOLOL Cassadee accidentally signed it Hey Monday and Mike was like "...Did you really sign this as Hey Monday?"
"...Did I really? Oh my god." *Insert Cassadee signing the card properly*
Mike then handed it back to me and Alex was just like, "...You guys know I haven't signed it yet, RIGHT?"
Which led into Mike laughing and going, but dude, nobody cares about Alex. (I was like AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA, there's a 13 year-old back there who TOTALLY cares.)
At any rate, they signed it and THEN looked at me and said, well...do you have anything that YOU want signed? And I thought it was super sweet of them to check. I got my poster signed and got my picture with them. I got in much closer, mostly because I didn't realize I was that close.

After that, I said thank you, got my camera back, and we headed out. It was funny, because the two girls I met while there....had parked ONE CAR DOWN from us. It was kind of funny/weird/neat?
We exchanged facebook info, so YAY. \o/
I had a really FANTASTIC time...hopefully the videos will upload quickly and I can put them in here soon!
