Just a bit.

Watched that superbowl thing that had all the artists on it...
And when the Goo Goo Dolls came on I remembered suddenly (don't know how the hell I forgot) that I had seen them a few years back!
It was my birthday. I was turning 15, cause not only was I going to my first Winston Cup race but one of my favorite bands was playing.
First and foremost--I am a HUGE Goo Goo Dolls fan. Have been for a while, and I wanted to go to the Winston (a big race that's really lots of fun to go to) and so Momma bought my ticket.
Well Humpy Wheeler, the guy who used to own The Winston et cetera, booked the GGD to play. The coolest part of it was that it was on my birthday. So, in spirit of that I made myself a sign.
We got there late by the way. I had to run out of our car, across the street, up to the walkway, over walkway, through the metal detectors, through the speedway to the field between turn 1 and 2 AND still make sure I didn't get hurt. *snorts*
Amazingly enough I did all that, didn't get hurt and got an okay standing place. So, I started moving up.
I was about midway in the crowd when they started in on one of my favorite songs (Slide) and Johnny was talking to the crowd.
Since alot of them were drifting out, obviously not enjoying this concert I started moving up. I was about 6 people away from the barrier I think...I lifted my sign up, it said "It's my birthday! Can I have an autograph?" just sorta pickin', cause I had a friend who was gonna let me meet them.
And the bassist saw it and kept winking at me and blew me a kiss. Twas lots of fun and got even better whenever they would stop between songs I would hold my sign up and finally the bassist got Johnny's attention or my sign did one, and in the middle of Big Machine (my favorite, the icing on the cake LMAO) I got a happy birthday thrown out.
What's really funny though is that I forgot all about that until tonight...huh. *laughs*
I'd love to go see them again, really would cause they put on a relatively good show. Or they did for the short time they were there. It was only like a 45 minute set.
*shrugs*
I just gotta find someone to go with me as I don't think momma would wanna go see them and Jamie hates GGD with a passion. *snorts*
