Birthday weekend!

SO! Friday was my birthday and it was a really chill, laid back kind of day which was nice.
Myself,
xandri, Dean (xandri's roomie),
artmusicsoul, and my Mom and Gramma all went out to eat at a place in NoDa (North Davidson) which was AMAZING, unf, god. FOOOOOOOD.
After we ate, I kind of demanded pictures:

So, aside from a photo we have of the three of us from about three years ago or something like that, this is my favorite photo of the three of us.

All of us! <3

So classy and awesome!

And there we go. XD
So, anyways, after dinner, myself,
xandri and Dean all went back to their house wherein we got completely engrossed in Treasure Island that had Eddie Izzard and Elijah Wood in it? It was REALLY good.
Okay, so, on Saturday, myself and Dean went to see The Hush Sound here in Charlotte! I was not expecting to get quite as excited as I did over it? Like, I knew I was excited and looking forward to it, but I had also been expecting to go by myself which wasn't a fun prospect. So when Dean said they'd go with me, I got really excited, but then the entire prospect of seeing The Hush Sound for the first time since (A) becoming a fan and (B) since 2008 was REALLY amazing.
Anyways, they had a ton of openers and I enjoyed 3 out of the 4, which was great. Lucas Carpenter is a charming little shit and I was super impressed by him and his show. Genevieve Schatz is from Company of Thieves and I knew nothing about her other than 'holy shit, she's adorable and WHOA, WHERE DID THAT VOICE COME FROM?' and holy shit, I was delighted by her. And then there was River City Extension who blew myself and Dean away and it was about halfway through that we were like, WE MUST OWN THIS CD.
And then there was a band called Hockey that I wasn't all that impressed with? They were definitely talented and I can see the appeal, but it did absolutely nothing for me. Anyways, yes. A couple of pictures (no, really, like 2):

Anyways, after that, we went over to the merch to one, meet and chat with Genevieve and Lucas, but also to basically buy ALL the things, it felt like.
I got pictures with Genevieve and Lucas and I want to put Genevieve into my pocket and take her home because she is precious:

"No, no, let's do another!"
*_* Okay.

"There we go!"

AND THEN (because I have no photos of Hockey or anything else) IT WAS TIME FOR HUSHIES.
I got one REALLY good photo of Bob and that's it:

So, I don't think I could even begin to tell you what they came out onstage with. I know that they played a bunch of my favorites, and THEY PLAYED MOMENTUM, HOLY SHIT. But, yeah, seriously, fucking blur. I know they played the standards, obviously. They played Scavangers and Not A Stranger.
WHICH IS WHERE THE FUN COMES IN:
So, okay, if you follow me on tumblr, twitter, or Facebook, you heard me freaking the fuck out about this.
Before Not A Stranger, Bob was like, how many of you own a record player? How many of you like to DANCE?
And I was like, fuck it! and put my hand up for each time. TO MY SURPRISE, HE POINTED AT MYSELF AND A BUNCH OF OTHER GIRLS TO COME UP ONTO THE STAGE AND DANCE IN A CONTEST TO WIN A 7 INCH RECORD.
Uh, YEAH. So that happened? In that I got up there, danced around like a stupid fucking idiot, had the best time, laughed like a loon, but I got to kind of make faces at Greta? (I made the "AW, TEAR" face at her and she pouted at me ridiculously and it was adorable.)
So, I danced and they did voting via cheers. And, uh. When it came over me, THE CROWD WAS REALLY FUCKING LOUD AND I WON A DANCE CONTEST AND CLAPPED MY HANDS OVER MY MOUTH AND GRETA MADE THE BEST "OMG AW" FACE I HAVE EVER SEEN.
PICTURES:

SHHHHH, IGNORE MY HEAD BEING CUT OFF THANKS TO BOB'S GUITAR. LOOK AT TINY GRETA.

So, uh, right after it was announced that I won, I clapped my hands to my mouth and then I did this behind them? I DIDN'T EVEN REMEMBER DOING THIS, OKAY?

The Tour Manager getting my prize!

So this is right as Greta and I had an exchange:
Me: *beaming like an idiot*
Greta: Christina, what's your last naame?
Me: Noles?
Greta: *grinning* What's your address? NO, I'M KIDDING!
Me: *____*
Like, seriously, I can't EVEN with her. I mean, I've always joked that she looks sweet, but she's basically a shark. TURNS OUT I'M RIGHT.

This was a case of him trying to shake my hand and me going HAHAHA, OH MY GOD. Wait, what? XD
AND THEN I GOT A HUG FROM BOB:

The next 3 pictures aren't mine, but came from tumblr user adamdamnlazarra and I keep staring at them in delight:

I think we were doing the Pulp Fiction dance here. XD

AND MY HUUUUUGGG.
SO YES.
Anyways, after the show and as myself and Dean were meandering around, I ran into
riorhapsody and her friend Rachel as well as
candidlily and her friends. I was amazingly not totally awkward with
riorhapsody in that I actually went for a hug and didn't do some weird hybrid thing. XD
They told me that they cheered for me to win and we chatted for a bit before I got distracted, as I do. Chris and Darren were standing around and when I went up to them, they were like HEY, HOW ARE YOU? YOU WERE GREAT!
And I was like LAKDGAH;SLDGKJA;LGKJDAGLKAJ;GLASGJ <3
Anyways, they signed my record and then Greta came over and SHE was like HI, HOW ARE YOU? And I was like ;OGH;ADSLGJ.
So, uh, then I told her my story about how in 2008, I was sitting down upstairs and they had walked by wherein she had stepped on me? And she was like OH MY GOD, I'M SORRY, I'm gonna assume you're okay!
And I was like, no, no, they had chop the leg.
And she was like, well, it's a very nice prosthetic then!
SHE IS SO SWEET. And then they helped me track down Bob and we tried 3 different times to get a decent picture out of all of us. XD

Nailed it?
Anyways, as Dean and I were getting ready to leave, the keyboard player for River City Extension, Patrick, ran over and was like YOU WERE AWESOME UP THERE, OH MY GOD.
Earlier, he and I had talked briefly about loving Andrew Jackson Jihad and Frank Turner, so we ended up standing around for like 15 or 20 minutes talking about Frank Turner and Flogging Molly and OH GOD, I JUST LOVED HIM.

It was just the best night and I had SO much fun and the Hushies are my favorite.
