Okay. Yoinked straight from
rockfic:
Give me the title of a story I never wrote, and I'll tell you what the story would have been about if I had. (You can specify fandom or pairings if you like.)
This could prove to be very interesting.
Very interesting indeed!

Or it's that brilliant run of arpeggios from a different instrument that never have the true backbone of the whole band underneath it.
There's always something onstage that to James that will never be quite right, the sound's always missing something.
Cliff.
(fuckin' LJ and the inability to edit comments. *grumble*)

Date: 25 Feb 2006 02:07 (UTC)One day, James is sitting around. Having a beer. Watching TV. You know, normal people stuff. And suddenly there's a Dane behind him, yelling and scaring the shit out of James.
When Lars sees what effect he can cause he gets an idea. But not just any idea, an idea to set James off hopefully. So the next few weeks it continues as such, Lars waiting for odd moments to run up behind James and just yell his head off.
But, soon, James catches on and when Lars moves to scare him again James has him lifted up by his collar and pinned to a wall. James is glaring at him before his face breaks into a grin and lets him go.
It's James' turn now.

Date: 25 Feb 2006 01:48 (UTC)It starts with them as kids, getting to know each other and becoming close because of the band. Joe, normally the man who is the shoulder, suddenly needs a shoulder during that time when they're recording Pyromania. And who else but his best friend?
Fast forward a few years to the Hysteria recording sessions when Joe suddenly comes down the mumps that change his life. Sav, being such a good friend, comes in to take care of him and they become closer.
It doesn't go far as they both may have hoped for but they are inevitably closer.
Through the years they lean on each other until 1995. When Sav needs a shoulder and the love that Joe is willing to give him.
It's a slow dance for them to get together but, finally, in the end they do.

Date: 25 Feb 2006 13:30 (UTC)But Rick would have none of it--he may have only been fifteen but he was better than some other drummers out there. But despite his insistence to be on his own, Steve always kept an eye on him.
Except for one night, the night when Rick lost his arm.
Steve felt the guilt of breaking a promise; no not one to Rick or any of the other guys but one to himself. Even when Rick was relearning how to drum and waiting on his kit Steve felt guilt for not being there with him.
It would take Rick going to him one night, sitting on his chest, and quite calmly explaining that just cause he lost his arm didn't mean he had lost himself. He just had to readjust, which mean that Steve would have to help.
Endless is the story of how Rick showed everyone how he wasn't just some kid that got lucky. And that includes Steve. It's about how guilt always crops up but is smothered despite it all. Steve may have felt guilt for not being there but Rick always would feel glad that it happened, it shaped him, it made him, and most of all--it brought him Steve, if only for a short time.

Date: 25 Feb 2006 14:17 (UTC)I like this meme for the simple fact it's like planning for fics.
I'll have to do some tweaking but I'll more than likely very much write this one. *bounce*
Glad you liked my interpretation for it! (cause that 'smile' said it all. And I'm glad it did!)

Date: 26 Feb 2006 08:55 (UTC)But what Viv doesn't know is that Sav watches Viv right back, he may not be quite as hidden as his bandmate but Sav does watch him. It's always through a heavy and curled fringe but he does his own fair share of watching.
Fast forward to present day when Sav, tired of the shaded glances and implied messages, drags Vivian into a closet. Dragging him in there gives him a chance to prove to Viv that he's seen the watching, that he likes the watching, and that he wants to do more than just watch.
Hooded is a story of veiled meanings, secretly hurt feelings, broody with a touch of darkness until they're both convinced the other wants it.
