mayqueen517: (KJO OH NO YOU DIDN'T)

Posting before dinner...I'll totally be online FO REALZ then. (No. I do not know why I just did that. I don't even. *facepalm*)

SO. YOU GUYS GET A MEME:

The WIP meme: post a little bit of each WIP you have (or as many as you want to pick). No context, no explanations.

"Does it get easier?"

"I dunno. Sometimes? Like, it stops bugging you as much, I guess. And I still talk to them, which helps.

"Yeah. I mean, Spence still talks to Jon obviously, but. Ryan won't really speak to us beyond saying hello," Brendon says, stretching out on the bed next to Ian and Ian wants to tell him everything is going to be okay. He doesn't, because he knows that Brendon won't believe him.

"I talk to Marshall a lot more than any of the others," Ian says finally, fingertips sliding from the neck of his guitar, the sound ringing through the room before settling into a hum.

"And now, Kevin Jonas is hitting the ice!" Brendon crows, laughing when Kevin blushes and shakes his head. Around the rink, people are staring as Kevin removes his blade guards and pushes out onto the ice. Beside of Brendon is Ryan watching Kevin intently from beneath his hat. Around his eyes are beautiful spikes of color, matching Brendon's and when Kevin unzips his hoodie, he hears a catcall.

Rolling his eyes, Kevin skates out to the center of the ice, taking wide circles before settling. He has a moment or two to see Brendon grinning and hanging all over Ryan. Brendon and Ryan were the first friends he made while doing figure skating in the competition circuit. Ryan had designed his outfits and Kevin ended up rooming with Brendon, helping with the choreography.

Near them but separate enough to not be distracted are Kevin's brothers, Nick and Joe, and Nick has his Game Face on, as Joe calls it. He thinks he looks stern, but Kevin desperately wants to tell him he just looks constipated.

They ride into the town on a Saturday morning. The sun is shining and the sky is the brightest blue that Alex has ever seen. If he didn't know any better, he'd say it was fake, that little towns like this don't exist. That they're just in the movies. That guys like him and Ryland don't get this, not with people watching them ride in and people waving.

"They're actually waving, Alex," Ryland says, like it's some kind of holy grail and Alex would laugh, but he gets it. Ryland's sunglasses take up half his face and there's a brief moment where Alex wants to tell him that he looks like an alien.

But he can't get the words out, which seems to be the theme as of late.

======

Annnnddddd, one I just started today:

"So, you totally pronounce it differently, right?" says a voice from behind Kevin. When Kevin turns, she finds herself blinking. She knew that going to one of Pete Wetnz's costume parties was probably a bad idea, but when he'd told her that it had a movie theme. Well.

Who could resist that?

"Your name," the girl says, grinning at Kevin, slow and lazy and there's a curl of heat in the pit of Kevin's stomach. Kevin's long since come to terms with the fact that she's attracted to women, however, this girl is nothing like what Kevin usually likes. Kevin likes soft and feminine, girly and ethereal. This girl in front of her is androgynous, short, brown hair spiked with tips of color scattered through it. She's wearing flip flops, for god's sake.
(It's all [livejournal.com profile] hector_rashbaum's fault. XD)
