Nicole is so glad she has a boyfriend who not only understands her crushes on his bandmates (except Ian. Ian she wants to drag through a portal to Harry Potter world so he can be an Animagus and turn into a puppy for her to cuddle all the time. Ian...does not actually find that as weird as maybe he should. Wait where were we?) but kind of encourages them.

And if wrestling Brendon in her pajamas when he's in his underpants is gonna get her fucked like THAT, well, she can totally live with that.

There is nothing, Nic has decided, more sexy than a man who is totally confident and secure in both himself and his relationship with her.

Plus, trust? A total turnon :D

It's a pity she wasted so much time on boys whose reaction to "um, I kind of kissed Brendon a little bit last night at the bar" wouldn't be "...try kissing him when he's sober, it's less like being attacked by an overenthusiastic mutant tongue".

Spencer is just happy he's finally found someone who DOESN'T find his closeness to his bandmates creepy or threatening or any of the other horrible things past exes have said.

The thing is, you date Spencer, you kind of date his band too.

When Nicole finally moves in with him, Spencer's kind of worried that she's gonna think all his bandmate time is fine when he's recording and touring, but having them around all the time in his downtime is too much.

She...invites Brendon over to hang out more than Spencer does.

He stops worrying about the fourth time he comes home to find Nic and Bden cooking or cuddled up on the couch watching DVDs or just laughing as Bden sings silly madeup songs on the piano.

He teaches her how to play the ukelele and Spencer is so in love with how happy it makes her he even breaks out the tambourine to play along.

When Spencer VOLUNTARILY tambourines, Brendon clears his schedule for the next week because he knows it's only a matter of time before Spencer wants to go engagement ring shopping

Dallon volunteers to come to, as the token 'married man' of their little band

when Spencer realizes they're right, he has a little freakout. But only a little one.

He's so YOUNG, he can't get MARRIED, except they basically already are married. okay then.

Dallon knocks some sense into him with a simple question. "Do you want to wake up next to her for the rest of your life?"

Spencer thinks for a second. "She prefers titanium to gold, and simple but pretty jewellery. Where should we start looking?"

He ends up going through contacts of Pete's and getting something custom made because he is nothing if not sickeningly romantic and unwilling to settle for anything less than her absolute ideal piece of jewelry

The final piece is beautiful, elegant and sophisticated, understated but still dramatic.

It's Nicole.

Next, Spencer girds his metaphorical loins and arranges a little chat with her parents. In some things, Nic is incredibly traditional, and Spencer suspects that those feeling apply here too.

The GIGANTIC rib-crushing hug he gets from her mom is way better than "yes".

Nic's father and brother sit him down and give him a very nice version of the 'hurt her and we'll kill you' speech.

it must be a sign that this is the right decision, Spencer decides, when he feels just happy and accepted.

Next stop - the lady herself. Luckily, Bden and Dallon have already been thinking about this and have already half-buried their living room in flowers to create the perfect setting.

They vanish out the back door as Nic's car pulls up out front with just a hug and a 'good luck.'

Spencer pats his pocket to check the ring is still there and takes a deep breath as he hears a key in the lock.

"It smells like a funeral home in here. Is Ryan visiting? I told you not to wear your cologne at my house, Rossy, it's gro - oh holy wow that's a lot of flowers."

"Uh, yeah, I guess it's kind of overkill."

"Are you being conspicuously romantic for a reason, or just because?"

Leave it to Nicole to wreck his carefully-constructed mood. And get him all flustered. NO ONE flusters Spencer, she is totally The One.

"Uh."

"You had a plan and I wrecked it, didn't I? Okay. Where should I be?"

"Uh. Couch."

"Okay! Oh man I just barely got home, I think maybe I should sit on the couch, because that is what I do when I get home."

Casting aspersions on her acting ability might totally wreck the mood, so Spencer keeps his mouth shut, but just barely. And it is totally worth all her mocking to see her face when he goes down on one knee.

She looks stunned, then terrified, then she just lights up. It only takes a second, but the glow is incredible.

And suddenly it all becomes so very easy to hold up the ring and just ask.

The wedding is basically "haute couture goes fairytale". And Spencer's wedding shoes are legendary.

It's a fairly private affair, those who know them and will celebrate with them. The service itself takes place at dusk, fairylights lighting Nic's way as she walks like a queen up the aisle

Spencer wishes he could hold onto this feeling forever. Then Nic gets to the front and winks at him, and Spencer can't help but laugh.

Spencer kind of worries her grinding on Brendon when they dance at the reception will scandalize his family.

Oddly he just gets a bunch of "so, guess you found someone who likes Brendon as much as you do" comments.

Spencer kind of seriously loves his friends.

But his loves his wife (his wife!) more when she sidles up next to him, bites his earlobe gently to get his attention and whispers "what's say you and I blow this joint and get the honeymoon started?"

Spencer isn't sure whether to blame Dallon or Brendon when they have to spend twenty minutes clearing condoms, lube, and a whole bunch of sex toys off the bed before they can go for round one.

By then, Nic is laughing so hard she's almost bent double. When she catches Spencer looking at her, she waggles a bright pink rubber cock, already set into a harness. The head jiggles in a way that was almost mesmerizing. "Are you ready for this jelly?" she asks, trying and failing to keep a straight face.

Spencer burst out laughing and pounced.
